VIVA Heads to Tofino For the Second Year for Another Exciting Summer Camp Collaboration
From August 10-14, 2026, VIVA is thrilled to partner with the District of Tofino for the second year in a row to host a special volleyball camp for local youth. This collaboration marks the beginning of what we hope will be many future programs and partnerships, bringing high-quality volleyball training to communities beyond Nanaimo.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Tofino, this camp will not only give athletes the chance to develop their skills but also create lasting memories in one of the most beautiful parts of Vancouver Island.
While this camp was initially designed for local athletes in Tofino, we are happy to welcome participants from outside the area if they have their own accommodation for the duration of the camp. If you’re able to arrange room and board in Tofino, we’d love to have you join us!
Camp Groups & Times
Girls Ages 7–10 (Camp ID# 10319)
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Girls & Boys Ages 11–13 (Camp ID# 10363)
1:00 PM – 2:45 PM
Girls High School Ages 13–17 (Camp ID# 10364)
3:15 PM – 5:00 PM
Throughout the week, athletes will work on:
· Passing and serving fundamentals
· Setting and attacking techniques
· Defensive skills and court movement
· Team play and game strategy
· Confidence, teamwork, and leadership
Whether your athlete is new to volleyball or looking to improve their competitive skills, this camp offers a great opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun. Please reach out if you have any questions.
