Grades 6–7 Summer Co-Ed Volleyball Camp * Note: Register athletes under the grade they just completed* Our Grades 6–7 Summer Camp is designed for athletes who are building on their foundation and ready to continue developing their skills in a fun, structured, and high-energy environment. Whether your athlete is newer to the game or has some experience, this camp focuses on strengthening fundamentals, improving consistency, and introducing more game awareness. Athletes will develop all core volleyball skills, including: • Serving (underhand and overhand consistency) • Passing (platform control, movement, and accuracy) • Setting (hand positioning, control, and consistency) • Attacking (approach, timing, and controlled hitting) • Blocking (introduction to footwork and timing) • Defence (movement, positioning, and digging) • Court awareness, communication, and basic game play Sessions include a mix of skill development, progressions, and game-based activities, giving athletes lots of touches and opportunities to apply what they’ve learned in a game setting. This camp emphasizes confidence, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game, while continuing to challenge athletes at an appropriate level. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policies All policies below subject to change during unforeseen events (i.e. COVID-19) and will be dealt with on a case by case basis. We are here for the love of volleyball and will do whatever we can to make things work and have YOU happy! WEATHER POLICY – Sessions cancelled by Vancouver Island Volleyball Academy LTD. will be RESCHEDULED or ISSUED AS CREDIT FOR FUTURE USE back to the original item paid for (i.e. camp credits will apply to camps) MISSED CLASS POLICY – VIVA cannot be held responsible for any classes that an athlete misses for any reason. CLASS SKILL LEVEL POLICY – VIVA cannot guarantee the skill level of each cohort. Athletes will be asked to accommodate a switch to a different class in order to try and keep a consistent skill level in each cohort. More than 10 days cancellation notice - 10% fee will be charged. Between 9 days - 5 days cancellation notice - 50% fee will be charged. Less than 5 days cancellation notice - full amount is forfeited. Refund Exception If an athlete must cancel due to illness or injury, a doctor's note must be provided and the full fee amount will be refunded.
