Service Description
Tryouts will take place on Sunday, Dec 6th, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and Monday, Dec 7, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Aspengrove School Gym. Athletes will be assigned to specific tryout groups within these timeframes. Once registered, please keep an eye on your inbox, you’ll receive an email with your exact tryout time closer to tryouts. During tryouts, athletes will be assigned a number and participate in a series of drills, gameplay situations, and evaluations focused on skill, athleticism, attitude, and teamwork. ***All athletes are guaranteed two tryout sessions to showcase their abilities and potential fit within a VIVA club team. We do not use a callback system, meaning athletes do not need to wait to hear back after their first tryout to attend the second. Both tryout sessions are confirmed as part of registration, giving every athlete an equal opportunity to demonstrate their skills and potential. Following the second tryout, there will be a selection process, and offers will be sent out shortly after to successful athletes who will be invited to join our U17 VIVA club team. *** If your athlete has a scheduling conflict with another club's tryouts, please reach out to us by email once you have received your assigned cohort. We will do our best to accommodate them by assigning them to a different tryout group that works with your schedule. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policies All policies below subject to change during unforeseen events (i.e. COVID-19) and will be dealt with on a case by case basis. We are here for the love of volleyball and will do whatever we can to make things work and have YOU happy! WEATHER POLICY – Sessions cancelled by Vancouver Island Volleyball Academy LTD. will be RESCHEDULED or ISSUED AS CREDIT FOR FUTURE USE back to the original item paid for (i.e. camp credits will apply to camps) MISSED CLASS POLICY – VIVA cannot be held responsible for any classes that an athlete misses for any reason. CLASS SKILL LEVEL POLICY – VIVA cannot guarantee the skill level of each cohort. Athletes will be asked to accommodate a switch to a different class in order to try and keep a consistent skill level in each cohort. More than 10 days cancellation notice - 10% fee will be charged. Between 9 days - 5 days cancellation notice - 50% fee will be charged. Less than 5 days cancellation notice - full amount is forfeited. Refund Exception If an athlete must cancel due to illness or injury, a doctor's note must be provided and the full fee amount will be refunded.
